VOLUNTEER WITH US
Volunteers are the heart of the Legacy Fund and a core part of our team. As a Legacy Fund volunteer, you will have the opportunity to play a significant role in the environmental protection of the 8th wonder of the world!
The Experience
We pride ourselves on a unique volunteering model that provides much needed human resources for park infrastructure and conservation projects. Through volunteering, we promote environmental education, knowledge sharing, and experiential learning amongst a growing community of park supporters. Volunteers will work alongside Legacy Fund staff and CONAF park rangers for up to 10-days at a time on projects related to:
Trail Building / Construction
Reforestation Monitoring
Invasive Species Control
Reforestation Planting

Volunteer Requirements
Age
Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
Experience
No prior experience is required, however being in good physical condition is essential to carry-out the labor intensive fieldwork.
Costs
Besides the cost of traveling to Puerto Natales, our volunteers do not pay for anything while they are in the park. The Legacy Fund team covers food, camping, work tools and local transportation costs while in the park.
* We give priority and preference to those from nearby local communities, residents of Patagonia, and Chile, though international folks are still welcome to apply.

“The bond I developed with some of the team members was something I will always cherish, even more than the wonderful landscapes we enjoyed. It has been a lifetime experience that if given the chance, I would do it all over again.”
“I have been able to share my experience with my coworkers, making them more aware about the importance of nature conservation, some of them have even made small decisions towards a more sustainable lifestyle.”
